Question about 2003 Ford Explorer
I just fixed mine 2 weeks ago the defective part was located under the center councel about where my knee lines up when sitting in drivers seat. start with taking the panel off around your radio it just snaps in & off but be careful not to break it mine was stubborn but i finally gotit with help of a thinscrew driver.anyway once you get in there look for a white box about the size of a mans wallet. this is an electrical gear box with plastic gears inside mine were tore up.to be sure once you get this far turn your air control till you hear the clicking and put your hand on this box you should feel it trying to work.be warned this is in a tight place ihad a hard time getting it off and the new one bolted back in as iwas working with being able to see. i had to put grease on the end of the screw driver to hold the screw so could get back in.I found the new part at the ford dealer part #1L2Z-19E616-CA price was $69.53 they had 2 in stock luckly. hope this helps but be warned your gonna need a lot of patience to do this yourself. Good Luck.
