I just fixed mine 2 weeks ago the defective part was located under the center councel about where my knee lines up when sitting in drivers seat. start with taking the panel off around your radio it just snaps in & off but be careful not to break it mine was stubborn but i finally gotit with help of a thinscrew driver.anyway once you get in there look for a white box about the size of a mans wallet. this is an electrical gear box with plastic gears inside mine were tore be sure once you get this far turn your air control till you hear the clicking and put your hand on this box you should feel it trying to warned this is in a tight place ihad a hard time getting it off and the new one bolted back in as iwas working with being able to see. i had to put grease on the end of the screw driver to hold the screw so could get back in.I found the new part at the ford dealer part #1L2Z-19E616-CA price was $69.53 they had 2 in stock luckly. hope this helps but be warned your gonna need a lot of patience to do this yourself. Good Luck.

Why does the defrost in my 2007 Monte Carlo blow cold air and make a clicking noise in the passenger dash?

Sounds like a classic example of a faulty blend door motor or stuck door.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and vents.

There is a continual clicking sound when in motion

If it is in the dash it is the AC/Heater automatic air temperature control blend door actuator that is makeing noise due to a jammed/warped or slow moving blend door.

Heater clicking noise in gmc envoy

Do you hear a clicking noise when you turn your truck on? Its probably the actuator. While the defroster was on I removed the fuse locted under the rear driver side seat. I think its 36B. It stopped the clicking noise and my air vents work well now.

The heater isnt working, I heard a clicking sound coming from behind the dash board and now it only blows cold air...

The noise you are hearing is the blend door motor. It is a DC motor that moves a door in the heater box that controls the temperature of the air coming out of the box. There are two typical possiblities, one, the blend door motor is bad and two, the blend door is broken and the motor cannot move it.

Clicking noise behind radio and the heat dont work

There is a blend door motor that moves the door in the HVAC box. When the motor strips it's gears or extends it's designed travel limit. it makes a clicking noise. Most likely, the door itself is broken. "Heater Treater" makes a replacement door that can be installed without removing the dash in most cases. HTH , Les

P0411 is what is says is my problem with my 1997 Ford Taurus When my heater is on it makes a clicking noise. What could is the most likely problem and how can i fix it?

i belive that the dtc that you have is not related to the clicking noise at all. apparently p0411 is concerning the secondary air injection. the clicking noise however would be a stuck or broken blend door or blend door motor. usualy the hvac system utilizes 3/4 of these blend door motors. to further diagnose this start your heater with the heat on full and fans at the normal face vents and move the vent selector from that inital position to the last position and if the clicking quits at any point then it would be that blend door motor. if that doesnt work then try to slowly move the heat selector from full heat to full cold, same deal. and if still at that point its making noise see if it goes away by selecting recirculate to fresh air....

When engine is started, heater door makes clicking noise for 20 seconds and quits. When engine is shut off, heater door makes clicking noise for 20 seconds and quits. Door makes clicking noise when heat is...

Your air temp control blend door actuator is failing, that is the part u call a heater door, it is a gear driven miniature drive, the gears are jumping teeth making the noise, it will stop working very soon.
