It is possibly oil leaking on to something hot like the exhaust.

I have white white smoke coming from under the coolant tank, when starting the car cold in the morning, driver side

I was going to say that white smoke wouldn't be oil but I see that you figured that out. Look for loose coolant hose clamps on or near the reservoir or possibly a small crack in the reservoir itself. As a general rule for gasoline engines: White smoke = coolant, Blue smoke = oil, Gray smoke = fuel, Black smoke = "Uh oh, that can't be good." :-)

Heard a grinding sound under hood. Car then died.

So does the a/c still work, maybe your compressor is bad? Top off your oil and run the engine and see if you can find out where the oil came from?

Started the truck normally and engine bogged down when put into drive and lots of smoke came from exhaust and driver side engine... the smoke came from driver side of engine block under the air filter. Did...

sounds like you just blow out the head gasket,,, thats why you had so much smoke from the exhaust if you wip off the air filter and try to start up you may see puffs of smoke from under the cylinder head,,, dont drive it even if you could,,,untill you sort this out

I have a 1994 Honda accord ex. It is leaking antifreeze

If your antifreeze is leaking into your engine oil, it will destroy the engine quickly. Check the level of both. But...you need to get a pressure gauge on it to apply pressure to the cooling system to see where the coolant is going first. White smoke is a sign of coolant in the engine oil.
