SOURCE: 1999 Honda Civic EX fault codes 1366 and 1399

This code is not documented so the code reader is giving a false reading.
If the car runs OK and check engine light is not on, I would forget about it.

From www.hondasuv.com:

The P1399 random misfire along with one or more of these codes: P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 -- indicates a problem with the valves. The B20 engines in the 1997-2001 CR-Vs are known to have problems with valves tightening and then 'burning'.

So the first question is when was the last time you adjusted the valves? If you don't know or never have, then have them adjusted. Soon...

I had my honda civic ex 98...replaced distributor caps rotor plugs wires timing belt water pump...my questions is after all the work was done a check engine light came out which reads 1361 and 1399 are...

Yes, it"s something to do with your distributor. This code indicates a TDC sensor malfunction. Unfortunately this sensor is located inside the distributor and is only serviced by replacing the distributor asy. check the connector at the dist. for soft set connection and repair if nessesary. If the DTC keeps coming back the dist. will have to be replaced. OEM honda parts are the only way to go for a lasting repair.

1997 Honda Civic emission control system problem?

Yes the problem is effecting the emissions controls. Sounds like the timing if off. Take the vehicle to you local Auto Parts Store and most will scan the ECU for fault codes. This code will help you to figure out the problem.
