Did you use NGK spark plugs?

Does this vehicle have coils over each spark plug or spark plug wires wo each spark plug.

well it was a loose connection. not shaking anymore, however, check engine light still on and i am still getting P0350 code. do i have to change the ignition coils too?

the check engine light will remain on for several drive cycles. If the computer sees that the problem has been resolved it will eventually turn of the light. This could be several days or weeks. The other option is to clear the code with a code reader/scan tool. If the P0350 comes back than you will have to figure it out.

And yes there is no code for spark plugs but plugs other than the original NGK's can cause issues with this engine. Using the O.E. plugs is always the best option.

On 2005 Kia optima lx 4 cylinder does spark plugs matter platinum or not?

ordinary plugs will do provided that they are the correct reach ( length of thread)
platinum plugs will out last the engine but you have to consider the cost as they are around 4 times the price of normal plugs
One thing you should know about the modern plug is that unless they develop a misfire with the modern ECM engines they very rarely need changing Unlike plugs in the old fashioned points in a distributor type engine
I personally have used the same plugs from new to disposal , 12 years later and at 230.000klms and misfire from plugs was never an issue.

Changed the spark plugs and now the service engine light is flashing.

A flashing service engine light usually means a misfire. You may want to make sure you put wires back on in the correct order. Also check the coil or coil packs.

When I stop at a light my 2005 Kia Optima engine dies. No check engine light is on. It cranks right back up. Sometimes while going down the road it feels like its dieing and then it will lunge. If I...

Change your crankshaft sensor located behind lower timing belt cover. The way I check it is to unplug the maf and see if it will start if so stop the engine and do a diagnostic 3 DTC's should come up on screen ,one would be the crankshaft sensor. This should be done by a experienced tech.

replace your gas cap and clear codes, then wait and see if light comes back on, if it does you have a more serious problem like a fuel tank leak or a defective fuel tank pressure sensor.
