Question about 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

No Air Output At Dash Vents

MY wife has a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix. The air conditioner seems to be working and cooling just fine, however there is no air coming out of the dash vents, All of the air is coming out of the floor vents, I have changed the control settings several times, but cannot get the air to come out of the dash vents. It used to work just fine, but now has a problem. Would appreciate any suggestions to correct this problem

Linkage inside dash or relay for electric front vents went bad
linkage sometimes comes off its holder from usage this is normal there only held in by a upin under the dash
if electric the relay for the the top vents needs replacing this i believe will be with rest of the relays in engine compartment

Air conditioning duct doors operating poorly

It could be a vacuum hose leak. With the car running listen for hissing sound either under the dash or under the hood. Or if the car has electric actuators on it one of them may have failed and stuck in place.
