First is year make and model. A U code is data communication codes. Sorry to say, you could have done all this and it could have just been a bad wire.

I have a '7/97 BMW e38 that will not start. It has a diagnostic codes of 1000, and extended code of 995927, 19 and the ECU is not responding to scans.

the 1000 code is telling you that the OBD scan cannot be completed due to PCM failure , will need full BMW workshop grade reading equipment to get the problem rectified,

Getting a diagnostic reading p0204 on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999. What do I need to do?

Injector #4 circuit fault. Typically either a bad injector or a wiring problem to the injector. Start with careful inspection of the wiring harness looking for abrasions, crimped wires, breaks, etc and repair as needed. If the wiring looks good, you can swap #4 injector with injector from another cylinder, reset the PCM to clear the code and run again to see if problem follows the injector. If you still get the #4 injector code, you either have a problem in the wiring harness that you didn't find (more likely) or a bad PCM (much less likely).

DTC P0238 - TC Boost Sensor Circuit High Voltage
DTC P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High InputThe powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. The PCM supplies a 5 volt reference voltage to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. The IAT is a thermistor that varies resistance based on temperature. As the temperature increases, resistance decreases. Low temperature results in a high signal voltage. When the PCM sees a signal voltage higher than 5 volts, it sets this P0113 check engine light code.

A code P0113 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:Internally failed IAT sensorFaulty connection at IAT sensorOpen in IAT ground circuit or signal circuitShort to voltage in IAT signal circuit or reference circuitIAT harness and/or wiring routed too close to high-voltage wiring (e.g. alternator, spark plug cables, etc.)Faulty PCM (less likely but not impossible)Possible SolutionsFirst, if you have access to a scan tool, is there an IAT reading? If the IAT reading is logical then the problem is likely intermittent. If the reading is less than -30 degrees, unplug the connector. Install a jumper wire between the harness connector signal and ground circuits. The IAT temperature reading on the scan tool should be maxed out at the high end. For example it should be 280 degrees Farenheit or higher. If it is, the wiring is okay, and it may have been the connection. If it isn't install the jumper wire between the IAT signal circuit and the chassis ground.
If now the IAT reading on the scan tool is maxed out then check for an open in the IAT ground circuit. If you get no reading at all on the scan tool, it's likely that the sensor signal is open or the 5 volt reference is missing. Check using a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) for a 5 volt reference. If it's there, then unplug the connector at the PCM and check for continuity on the IAT signal circuit between the PCM connector and the IAT connector.

What does a 600 reading from the computer of a 2004 chevy trailblazer mean?

P0600 is a serial communications link problem with the PCM. This could just be a problem with the connection to the diagnostic tool, and not really be a problem with the truck, could be the tool. If your truck is running normally otherwise, try a different code reader to narrow the problem. If it appears with multiple readers, the problem could be the PCM, or its female serial connection to the reader.

I have a 2000 focus with a p1120 code what can I do to start this repair.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1120 indicates that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) closed throttle position is below the range of 3.4 percent (0.17 volts). Possible causes for this DTC are:

· Damaged wiring harness or connectors

· Open or shorted Reference Voltage (VREF) circuit

· Faulty TPS

· Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

The methods/steps for diagnosing this code depend on how the code was stored and retrieved.

This code can be a Key On Engine Off (KOEO), Key On Engine Running (KOER), or a Continuous Memory code. To properly diagnose the cause of the problem a scanner must be obtained that has the ability to read each of these as well as the capability of reading live engine data from the PCM.

Direct voltage readings should be taken at the TPS connector and compared to the live data at the PCM. This will eliminate the possibility of a faulty PCM. The VREF and Signal Return circuits must be verified between the TPS and the PCM. Also the Sensor Ground circuit must be verified between the TPS connector and battery ground.

I did a diagnostic check and it came out with codes 12 13 and 54. What do I need to do to get my truck back up and running?

code 12 means the battery was disconnected within the last 50 key cycles. ignore this code. code 13 means no change in map reading and the baro reading at start up. check for vacuum line break or loose connection. If vacuum lines are ok, replace the map sensor if the codes still exists after the code 54. Code 54 is no fuel sync to the pcm. Replace the camshaft sensor under the cap, then when the vehicle is running, check and see if code 13 is still there (erase the codes first).
