Question about 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier
There is a flat plastic box between the dohc that says ecotec on it. it is to the left of the oil fill cap. there are four fasteners on it i believe... possibly two... but remove them and you might have to bend the steel bracket that is above it out of the way to pull it off. it is important to pull straight up as the spark plug boots are attached to the cover and need to be un-seated. once that is off put a spark plug socket on the spark plugs (they have foam inserts to hold the plug from falling out) or use a regular deep socket and once loose take a small piece of tubing or hose and stick it on top of the spark plug, then unscrew it with the tube. to reinstall either use a sparkplug socket or use the tube to start the threads... DO NOT CROSS THREAD and DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. try to remember how tight they were when you took them out. then push the cover back on making sure the boots line up with the plugs and reattach with the fasteners and bend that steel bracket back down.
good luck if you need further assistance let me know
