Question about 1998 Ford Mustang

2 Answers

I have a 98 mustang 3.8 v6 and my turn signals aren't working. I have replaced the fuses under the dash, and hood, and they worked fine for a minute, then flashed really fast, then quit. I bought a signal flasher but can't locate the flasher on my car, as I don't have a manual. Does anyone know where where it is and how to change it? Thanks

Should be plugged into the fuse panel under dash, no? If you find it, just pull straight out.

Gauges on dash don't work on 98 plymouth voyager

Try actually replacing the instrument panel fuse. Sometimes the open link is very small and hard to see. If this doesn't work try and find the instrument cluster connector and make sure that it is tight. Sometimes over time, if it wasn't latched all the way, it can work loose especially if there have been some wide temperature fluctuations where you are.

Turn signals not working and brake lights not working

replace brake light switch @ BRAKE PEDAL, next, replace turnsignal flasher under dash, check for blown fuse, if turn sig. still doesn't work, check turnsig., switch, & or for loose connection.

My 98 ford mustang is stuck in park

check fuses for brake shift solenoid. the brake pedal position switch is a fuse under the hood. inside the passenger compartment, check every fuse. that's a start for not having more information.

98 ford lariat. Headlights stopped working. running lights come on and brake lights and turn signals. checked all fuses under dash and under hood, pulled out headlight switch and it looks fine. note only...

Is this both the high beams and low beams that do not work ?

If you checked all 3 fuses with a meter ( with the headlamp in Low position for both low beam fuses or in high for the high beam fuse ), the next items to test are the MFS ( MultiFunction Switch ) and the main headlamp switch ( test not look at it ).

Look in the owners manual and find out which fuse is common to both, then find out where it is located. It may be in the panel under the hood, the manual will point you in the right direction.

Turn signal stopped working 1990 Mercury Cougar

I had the same problem and the flasher is not located in the fuse box because it is not a normal flasher. the cougar has an electronic flasher unit that is located on the left side of the center console. the best and cheapest place to order a new one is amazon.com. they run about $30-$40
