1985 f150 4x4 is the hub supposed to slide right off with nothing holding it on but the lug nuts and lire?

truck was equipped with fiber retaining gears and not steel gears. Poor-by-design by Ford. Various aftermarket parts suppliers have steel gears available, as learned when helping a friend with his F-150 4x4!

4x4 hubs make grinding/clicking

Check the cv joints as they make that sort of noise when they are worn out.

Should I rebuild my Ford Bronco 351 Windsor Holly 4 bbl carb or replace it with an Edelbrock carb?

In all my experience, if you know how to correctly tune a edelbrock then go with that, but, holley has outstanding carbs that can muster up to an output of 1,200hp. it would be much cheaper to et a rebuild kit from say, o'reillys, 20-45 dollars depending on which one you have.
I have a 1985 Bronco 351w 4x4, i just rebuilt my holley and she runs smooth

I hve a 1985 Ford Ranger 4x4 with the 2.8l v6. I dont ahve the owners manual and I just want to know what grade motor oil to use. 5w-30, 10w-30, etc

I would not go any lower than 10W30, and depending on the milage like close or over 100.000 i would bump it up to a 10W40.
