I have a 1997 gmc suburban and i replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and the relay. I also checked all my fuses and used a test light to make sure that i'm getting power, but i'm not getting any fuel to the carb for it to start.... i also checked for spark and i got that.... i poured some gas in the carb and it started right up and ran for a min or two then died.... so what could it be??? can someone help me and try to find out why it won't start???

There shouldn't be a carburetor on this engine--probably, it is a throttle body injector. There should be pulses from the computer to drive the injector solenoid (an oscilloscope is a good tool for checking the pulses) and the computer requires pulses from the crankshaft/camshaft sensor to tell the computer when to pulse the injector. If the check engine light is on, rent a scanner to read any codes which should point to the problem area. If it says sensor problem, check with AutoZone or similar business for the part and where it is located. It's also possible that the injector solenoid coil is open. Hope this helps!

Do I have a fuel pump fuse and where would it be at ?

Better to test the pump relay with a meter or a test light. The relay could have failed.
The relay and the fuse should be in the fuse box near the battery.
Check your owners manual for details.

How to release fuel pressure?

Start the vehicle, and remove the fuse or relay for the fuel pump. Then check for any pressure remaining at test fitting on the fuel rail.

85 gmc suburban wont start it will turn over ... could it be fuel pump

It could be, I would check for fuel at the test fitting on the fuel rail. Also check for spark at the coil and the plugs and check the fuses and fuel pump relay.
