There are two places it may be, first open the hood and look at the rightside near the back of the headlight it should be there or its under the front of truck right under radiator.

That is the filter bypass valve. If the oil filter plugs up then oil pressure opens the valve to let unfiltered oil back into the engine so it won't destroy the engine.

I have a 2006 chev 4X4 4.8L 8Cyl.i have very low oil pressure and low idle but it has lots of oil and runs smooth


With the low oil pressure if its consistently low without a rise on acceleration then i would look at a pumping issue.If it rises on acceleration the I would recommend changing the filter.As far as the idle if its running at about 600 to 700 Rpm its within specs .If not change your fuel filter first and see if that helps any.

Oil capacity for 1989 toyota v6 pickup


Capacity with filter change for V6 4x4 should be 4.8 qts. V6 2x4 should be 4.5 qts.

Oil leaking where oil filter attaches, but not from filter. Leak seems to be from the part where the filter attaches. this is 1992 chev 4x4 k1500 5.7.

1989 chev. 1500 4x4 losing coolant, replaced water pump.


You might have some blown head gaskets..Hope none got in to the engine oil and filled it up with water..Check oil for coolant and spark plugs for coolant also.Another place to check is the exhaust pipe.Make sure none was running in to there

if its got antilock brakes,then its trying to say "HELP"im not working correctly--probaby bad sensor at the wheel either side front,or bad electric motor that drives the antilock brake system
