Question about 2005 GMC Sierra
If there is 12 volts or more to the fan and there is sufficient ground then yes the Fan motor is bad. Sometimes you can tap in the area where the fan is and the fan might come on while you have the ignition and A/C on. The fan is located near the front passengers fett underneath. It is about 4 or 5 7mm or 9/32 screws remove them all and disconnect the electrical connection to the fan. When you buy a new motor you might have to change out the blade, very easy. Just pop out the center clip and you might have to tap the center spline with a ball peen hammer to seperate the motor from the blade.
