have you considered it may have something to do with the Transfer case control module? Symptoms sound similar to what Im experiencing w/my 2005 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. It spontaneously shifts in & out of 4hi, 4lo & 2hi while driving, idling. While parked and turned off you can hear the TCCM trying to engage. I have not been able to find any info on how to fix this common problem on any forums

Could be O2 or vacuum leak, weak spark, bad fuel etc.. Can you access the codes or are there no codes ?

turn the key back and forth 3 times, on when when finished, a p code will show up in the odometer that will tell you what the problem is. but im pretty sure you need to replace a fule injecter, the code will tell you what one to replace.

Best to read out any codes from the computer by taking the truck to AutoZone or similar business that allow free scans of the computer. From the symptoms, I would guess fuel delivery problems--fuel filter/fuel pump--but read the codes first. Hope this helps!

If it was a coil it would read "service engine" after about two weeks of driving. I would replace the motor mounts.

2002Honda civic ex jerks and hesitates when not accelerating

I would have the catylic convertor checked.
Then have the transmission check . I am guessing the transmission is automatic. The torque convertor could be shuttering when slowing down to a stop.
