These darn things are hard to spot for the untrained eyes.If you open the hood and look at the motor, it will be close to the firewall on your left, (or the passenger side of the car towards the firewall) It will more than likely have some black crud on it, hence that's why it's hard to spot, it will be a dipstick built into a screw off cap, I hope I could help, rate me accordingly, Thanks!!!

Where do you put power steering fluid in a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville?

The power steering pump is on the passenger side hidden right next to the firewall. It may be hidden by wires but it is there. Remove cap, I think it has yellow letter on top and check level. Do not overfill

While I was driving, heard a pop and the steering wheel become very tight, and could not turn in either direction easily. How do i fix the power steering?

check ps fluid... if empty or very low you have a line leak or resevior leak.. if full you have a different problem.. check belt. check front end.

I put a 03 3.8 out of a grand prix into a 98 bonneville, i now have a bad oil leak behind the power steering pump at the front motormount where a stud and nut fasten the mount, oil just pours out

do you still have the engine you took out (hope so)
check very closely and see if there is any differance
the bonnevile's have a way different engine mount then the GP
you have put that stud into an oil gallery
check the old engine and see if that hole is blind
good luck!
hope this helps

It is hard to turn as if the power steering is low for the 1999 pntiac bonneville SE and I need to know where the power steering is so i can check the power steering level

If you look under the hood look where the belts are. A compotent that the belts drive or turn is your power steering pump, when you find it you will see a cap that you can remove and check your fluid. Also with the problem you describe check the belt and the tension of the belt. Fluid level and belt tension are the most common causes of power steering failure. The power steering cap will be marked to make it easier to find.

Trying to change water pump on my 1998 bonneville ssei, there is a bolt behind the power steering pump. do i have to remove power steering pump? if so, how?

Ok here it is. Remove the two bolts thru the holes in the power steering pump pulley. Leave the power steering pump where it is just move it aside a little to access the bolt or bolts. Then it is hard to line up the power steering holes to the block so be careful and good luck.

Power steering is hard to the left but not the right

I call it GM sickness. you can try to flush the power steering but chances are great that the rack is in need of replacement.

Power steering randomly went out 98 pontiac bonnevile

Check serpentine belt. It may be broken.
If all belts are in good shape and tensioned properly have the car looked at by a mechanic for troubleshooting.
