Good afternoon, sounds like your cv axles are going out because they will click when you turn. try to take care of it before one breaks

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Can a tye rod end make clicking sound when u turn if there bad

No, but a CV Joint can. The (constant velocity) joint is on the end of each drive axle where it enters the wheel. It allows for the turning and up and down movement of the wheels, while still transmitting power from the transmission. When they go bad from wear, lack of grease, etc., they will make a clicking sound during turning. You are hearing the "outer CV joint" on one of your front wheels.

A replacement is not that expensive as a part. You can buy a new drive axle with remanufactured CV Joints on both ends of it for less than $100. Installing one is a bit of a chore, so if you pay someone to do it, it will take about 3 hours labor. Plus it is recommended to have a front end alignment done after any front end work. The wheel and hub has to be partially dismantled to remove the drive axle.

Clicking noise when car is in motion

Does sound like your CV joint. When you turn and you hear clicking noises coming from the front end your CV joint will need replacing.

CV shaft, AKA axle. AutoZone in my area prices for $57.99. Prices vary depending on location. Many shops that specialize in replacing them USUALLY only charge around $100. I did it once, and turned out to be alot easier than I thought. Just be careful not to damage the end of it where it sticks out of the wheel hub, becuase I mushroomed the end.

Clicking noise in front end of car when going over bumps

Probably the front struts your sway bar links can cause the same noise if they are failing but you should have heard or felt somthing while turning regardless of bumps if the sway bar links were bad. Like the other people said start with the struts.

Most likely U Joints in the front axles. These will only turn in 4 wheel drive.

Front driver's side makes a momentary click sound when going from park to reverse or into drive, sometimes while driving. Does'nt seem like it would be a tie-rod since no problem while turning the wheel.

clicking sound while turning means the cv axle is going bad, but you should have the front end inspected first, a good front end man can usually identify the sound by its tone

Most likely this a broken CV joint and this means replacing the axle.
