Hi, for a trained mechanic it shouldn't take more than 2 to 3 days max. I have experienced one and it only took 2 days..

After a transmission is taken of the car it will take one or maximum two days to rebuilt, but the spare parts of the transmission will be the problem for the delay!

Had transmission rebuilt on my 2003 honda odyssey car drove back to naples fl from miami its the next day and the car wont start hit gas and nothing

If it isnt turning over you may just have a bad battery connection or ground. They may have taken your starter out when they rebuilt the trans and maybe a wire is loose or came off.

How to replace automatic transmission oil pump on 96 ford ranger

The oil pump is inside the transmission

Transmission has to come out of the vehicle & be taken apart

You never do that for a pump alone

You just rebuilt the whole unit

My 1991 735il bmw will not reverse, what can i do to solve this problem

You will more than likely need to remove the transmission from the car and have it rebuilt. Since this is a guess (based on 40 years) on my part have it taken to a transmission repair shop bob and have them confirm the guess is right, i'm sure it is.

ENGINE SURGES IN / OUT OF GEAR.

Hi, this is called a shift flare and is usually caused by a pressure problem inside the transmission.
Line pressure comes from the internal pump in the transmission. When the pump pressure drops below the minium the problems become noticable. This problem requires the transmission to be dissasembled and rebuilt. I reccomend a quality transmission shop or a used transmission. The internal workings of an automatic transmission can be quite complicated and I dont suggest attempting this yourself. I dont even rebuild automatics myself only manuals. Let you fiance' know that he can pick my brain anytime but not all problems can be taken care of long distance.

Just bought this car as a project for our son. It was in an accident then left to sit for over a year. The car starts with no problem but is stuck in drive, it won't go into park.

Sounds like your transmission had taken some of the accident. The transmission is probably shot. As today's cars have very complicated transmission and it would be cheaper to get one off a low mile car in a junk yard or a rebuilt. I'll bet there is no fluid in it either.

get your ONBOARD DIAGNOTIC or OBD codes retrieved and see if you have a fault between the ECU and the transmission.

todays vehicles have computer controller transmissions that only shift when told to by the computer.
