I am having problems starting my 1998 pontiac grand am gt 2.43L

check for fuel pressure. there should be a cap on top of yur fuel rail beside your intake. check your psi. if its low then chances are you need a new fuel pump or fuel filter.

97' grand am starts and stalls ,fuel pressure ok

I'd go with replacing the fuel filter, especially if it hasn't been replaced. It should be replaced every 12,000-20,000 miles. I would check the fuel pressure also. These 2 items are not monitored by the computer.

What makes a car stop while driving but starts

Fuel pressure loss is the usual cause. Check your fuel pressure. This can be caused by a plugged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump. The next thing to check is your fuel pressure regulator

check all fuses for turn signal and brake lights.change fuel filter . first. do a little tune up change spark plugs and wires . if changing fuel filter dont help. have fuel pressure check first before buying a new fuel pump .they run after taxes 400.00 dollars. your fuel pressure should be 41 to 47 psi. replace fuel pump relay also.
