Check level and condition of your transmission fluid. If your transmission fluid is turning brown or if your vehicle has not had a transmission fluid and filter change in 5 years or 50,000 miles, do that right away before you fry your transmission.

Sounds like you might be burning up your ATF on a long trip. Try installing a transmission cooler and add some lucas oil transmission additive.

Check to see if your ATF smells burned.

Engine light is on. It does not go away

It wont go away until the problem is fixed, there are many things that can turn that light on, first you need to get the trouble code, then tell us what the code is. Be sure to tell what engine you car has, 2wd, 4wd, Transmission ect.

Putting a clutch and transmission wont seperate

you need to lift the rear of the engine about 2"then wiggle the transmission while pulling out the idle shaft from the flywheel.in other words keep the trans/engine in a straight line when pulling apart.....

How to remove a transmission?

Hope this is not your first, if it is you picked a tough one to learn on. Here goes:1 disconnect negative battery cable 2 Raise and support the car, a lift is the best tool for the job here, but you can do this on jackstands, they just need to be tall ones at least 2 feet of clearance under the car. 3 Install engine holding fixture, this supports the back of the engine when you remove the crossmember and trans.4 remove left front wheel, seperate ball joint remove drive axle retaining nut then remove drive axle from transaxle by prying at joint closest to transaxle. Do not pull on the outer joint or you will pull the inner joint apart. 5 place transmission jack under transaxle pan. 6 remove bolts from crossmember then remove the crossmember 7 remove inspection cover then remove three torque converter bolts 8 remove transmission cooling lines from fittings on transmission 9 remove shift cable 10 unplug 4 wire plug from front side of transmission 11 remove 6 bolts from bell housing 12 remove speedometer cable 13 remove three bolts from around right hand drive axle, then pry axle loose from transmission. You do not need to remove axle from car, just let it hang.14 pull transmission away from engine far enough to disengage the alignment dowels and finish pulling right hand drive axle from transmission housing then lower the transmission to the floor 15 pull transmission from under vehicle.

On a saturn when pulling engine must i pull transmission

As long as you have the clearance the trans can stay in the vehicle but you will have to support it from the bottom or where ever it is best.Just make sure to support it while the engine is being pulled out so it does not fall down.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Just started to pull away from a stop in 1st and

sounds as though your input shaft broke, this would cause a loud clunk, cause it to feel as though in gear, and cause no pull.

Im pulling the gearbox out of my 1995 Mazda Rx7 and it wont come off the spline? its stuck

did you disconnect the slave cylinder for the clutch? If its an automatic you must unbolt the torque converter.

Also check for extra bolts and mounts that may hold the transmission in.
