None of the chimes in my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo work. No key chime, no door open chime, no lights on chime, no seat belt disconnected chime. Where is the Chime Module and what does it look like? What would cause all of the chimes to no work other than that? I just bought this car and they have never worked since I got it.

Make sure you have nothing laying on a passenger seat since these are also equipped with sensors.
If these are free, try checking under your seat for wiring that has been damaged or become disconnected.
i think your switch in the door has just decided to pack up at the same time as you were working on the vehicle and its just coincidence or murphys law as we call it in the trade
This chime is also the same chime used for the doors. To remove this you will also be losing the ignition chime when the keys are in the ignition or when the doors open. It can be removed simply by unplugging it. Just open the door with the keys in the ignition, look under the dash on the driver or passenger side. using you good hearing locate the chime and simply disconnect the plug from the back.
I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee Limited and Had similar problem. Found out that a wire/connection harness had gotten cut under PASSENGER seat.from seats moving back and forth. It's part of the airbag system, it tells airbag system if seatbelt is fastened and if occupant is in seat. Since the wire is broken, it can't report back to air back system and activates the light. try this, hope it helps.
