Question about 2002 Audi A4

1 Answer

We drove over a steel plate and braked abruptly...then the battery light turned on and the car turned off. Now the car won't turn over.

All the battery cables are tight and there is no corrosion. The car won't turn over. As of late, the car has had some distibutor cap issues (i believe)...where we'll be driving and then it's as though it's misfiring...

Brake light and license plate lights won't work

All lights rely on a good connection between the globe base and the metal body of the car.
This is the cause of your problem.
You'll probably find rust in the globe holder stopping the globe from making a good connection.
You may have to replace the globe holders, but it will be worth trying to clean the rust back to bright steel.

Car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

Transmission Light and Braking problem

hello . did the dealer scan the vehicle anyway , if the light was on it should have a history code safe in memory and they should check for it . it does not matter if the light when out by it self ,it just means that the fault its not present ,(it sounds like a bad mass meter its a fuel manegement sensor that when it goes bad the transmision does not know the force created by the engine and therefore it cant shift properly)
