SOURCE: 1996 ford explorer anti theft wont let car start when battery die

Do you have a keyless entry? You could try to enter your vehicle using the keypad on the drivers side door, This should turn off the anti-theft security.

How do i reset a 99 explorer factory alarm

you need the remote control to do it if you disconnected the battery and then reconnected it when the alarm goes off you have to press the disarm button otherwise the alarm goes into theft mode and will not start buy the remote control if you need it now and you can program it into the system once in and the pats system has it stored you will then be able to start your car again good luck

How do i reset my alarm on my 1999 ford explorer

If it starts and runs, it's not the security. Most common things I have found to drain the battery are. The alternator(even though it is putting out the voltage), the starter, the interior lights(wiring here) and the radio (Internal problems)

How do i set car alarm

turn key to on position, just before it turns over. Within 5 seconds press and hold in the valet/overide button found under the dash area
until the blinking light in your dash area goes off and the siren chirps twice. If you have the toggle type, do the same but toggle on after turning key, then turn key off. This should reset the alarm. Repeating these steps places the vehicle back in valet mode. If you don't have the valet switch, you don't have an alarm. I don't seem to remember the 99 explorer having an alarm, and it does not show up in my manuals, only keyless entry.

Make sure you unlock your door with the remote before getting in. Often times, they are automatically armed.

97 Ford Exployer is first started, dash lights blinks on and off

sounds like an alarm system that has the horn disconnected,so when you start the vehicle it trips the alarm then resets itself after awhile .see if there is an aftermarket Alarm system under the dash and remove it!
