Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You may need a tune up. It may be caused by faulty plus, wires, coil pack, coils. Check the air filter and fuel filter. Also, check for vacuum leaks on the engine. Check your PCV valve. Make sure all hoses are hooked up correctly. You may just have a leak in the air intake system.
Remove the nut on the top left of the housing completely. (hint : Before continuing, locate and loosen the hose clamp screw going from the rear of the filter housing to the intake on the engine, sliding the hose off the intake) Lift (filter) housing away from stem. On the air hose leading into the housing, pull back the tabs and pull housing UP and out toward you. A lot of wiggling required (hint: if you followed the hint above, a lot less wiggling is required - it pulls up and out pretty easily, and don't forget to un-clip the wires on the left of the housing). The filter is a cone shaped blue and white thing sticking into the housing. Good luck!
should be a little single wire connected to the air filter box. located on the clean side of the air filter. if not it will be between the air filter box and the throttle plate usually located on the air duct hose going from the air filter box to the throttle plate.
Had the same problem. 2005 Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6 would not start after a oil change. I started looking for wires and stuff that might have been disconnected. That is when I realized that I had also checked the air filter. The hose from the air filter box to the intake had come slightly loose from the intake. The car would not run with an air leak at the air cleaner box box hose. Put the hose on tight and problem fixed.
relief fuel pressure.remove air intake duct .the dohc engine remove the fresh air hose inlet hose from cam shaft cover.disconnect large under hood fuel line.near intake manifold support bracket on the left side of vehicle. look under vechicle where gas tank is there is a fuel filter with disconnects.
