Izuzu rodeo drives forward on reverse gear

redux. (A/T trans answer not STICK SHIFTED manuals)
no years stated
no transmission stated, auto or stick.

stuck in Reverse.
linkage checks are first.

the trans has lever on the side
called the Manual valve.
it that lever does not go to DRIVE,
then there will be no drive.
there is a cable from the Shift selector to that
transmission side lever.

inspect these parts for proper movement
no damage, not slipping cable, etc.
only you can do that.
or your mechanic.

2006infiniti transmission is stuck in park

you may need to put tour foot on the brake.some cars have a little slot right by the sifter so you can stick a paper clip or something like that to release the sifter.

My manual trans in a 1999 vw beetle reverse drive forward

I had a simular sounding experience with my 99 beetle after hitting a curb. felt like it was stuck in 3rd and 4th only-had no reverse. My problem was that there was a linkage on the sifter gears broken.

Transmission shifts to second gear and stays there

Could Be that your TCM is losing power. I would check to see if the TCM is firmly attached to the passenger side fender wall. If not it could be losing the ground.
