This motor mount will be directly below the intake tubes behind the radiator. You will have to raise the vehicle and look under it to see it.

How to change the middle motor mount on a 2002 Dodge Neon rt

Changing the center motor mount is almost impossible to do with lifting the motor up from the can. I had a 2002 neon and I replaced the other mounts and left the center mount alone. The other new mounts seem to compensate for the bad one. I have been told that the motors are designed to shake a little.

Repeated Motor Mount Failure on 2001 Mitsubishi Galant.

Odd situation. There's four mounts only: one on the transmission, one next to the water pump, and two on the center arm (front and rear engine sides). Mounts can fail due to oil contamination, and of course, rough treatment, which you say you don't do.

The center arm mounts are the most common failures, as these absorb the torque movements of the engine. Multiple failures are unusual, and aftermarket mounts are usually acceptable quality.

The question is now which mount or mounts were replaced. It would be VERY, make that EXTREMELY, unusual to have all mounts fail, and to happen twice in 130K. I would now question the motives or skill of the mechanic. Perhaps there was another noise of clunking that was described as "motor mount" failures.

Changing motor mounts

motor mounts, dodge dakota...not familiar with, but changed a lot of mounts...block of wood- 2X4, or 2X6-on top of jack centered under the oil pan...when you raise it (not more than 2, 3 inches-4 at most:gotta watch for the hoses stretching or anything out of place too much) when you raise it- you are supporting the engine and transmission for easy removal of mounts. I'm guessing it is a rear wheel drive, not a transverse engine, right? Engine facing front would have mount on each side. Hope this helps you.

Where are the motor mount located

There are 2 of them, one on each side of the motor. They are located at the base of the motor about center and connect to the front cross member. If you have a sideways mounted 4 cylinder you may have 3 motor mounts, this is common with some Dodge vehicle, They are located 2, upper and lower, on the passenger side of the motor and one actually on the transmission side that connects to the transmission.

How do I R&R front motor mounts on 2000 cadillac sts

Very easy, just remove front tires and unbolt, BUT I doubt you are asking right question. Not mounts, but mount in dead front center is problem. There are 4 mounts, transmission center back, left center and right center and front center. That takes full torque of motor and heat from exhaust. GM has a shield for exhaust.

93 buick park ave Ultra. replacing water pump...must I remove the front passenger side motor mount??

Yes. Put a jack under the motor and remove 3 bolts from side of engine and the long center pivot bolt in mount and the 2 bolts that go top down into the frame and loosen the 2 bolts below mount. Jack up the motor until you can separate the mount, leaving the engine side in and removing the frame side. The engine side can be moved out of the way without completely removing.

86 pontiac 6000 engine mounts

Forward towards the front of the car or towards the interior? To rock the engine, I'd probably first remove the motor mount on the front center of the engine, that should help you get some more room to squeeze in one way or another.
