Question about 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra
After driving for a while engine will start cutting out like its not getting fuel. When I pull over and put it in park it runs fine and after letting it sit for a while it will run fine for a while and then start doing it again.
Don't waste your money on replacing the furl injectors and you can replace the filter but i seriously dought it's the filter either, you would know if it was the injectors check the fuel pressure on the main fuel line on top of the engine if it's above 35 psi your fine, but let me do some checking snd i'll get back to you

I drive a 1999 mustang as well and it was doing the same thing, acting like it wasn't getting gas and then one day it died.... It turned out to be either the fuel pump or injector...which ever one is in the gas tank cause I remember them saying they had to empty the gas tank. Anyway, that may be whats wrong with yours :)

I would recommend replacing your fuel filter, I also drive a V6 and after replacing my filter it really improved my milage and my car ran alot smoother. I would also recommend buying a octane fuel cleaner, that will clean out your fuel injectors if those are clogged up. If it comes down to down you may need to replace the fuel injectors, but it doesn't sound like the problem is too severe if the engine is still running which is good. I recommend not to drive until the fuel filter is replace as well as putting octane injector clearner in the gas tank. You can find the octane cleaner at Checkers for cheap.
