Spray the spark plug with penetrating oil (WD-40) for a few hours. Better if over night and then try to loosen it from the engine. Be careful that you do not damage the heads when removing the spark plugs.

Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

Spark plug torque setting on a 2010 dodge ram with a 5.7 hemi engine

torque to 13 ft-lbs per dealer ship

Gap new plug at .045" and apply liberal amounts of High Temperature Anti-seize lubricant (e.g. Napa Copper Anti-Seize). Don't skip this part. Anti-seize is needed when two disimilar metal threads are in contact (spark plug = steel, head = aluminum).

How to remove frozen spark plugs

try spraying some lube ,if it was running let it get hot then try it , or heat it up with a small propane torch and try it , as of 2000 all car makers recommend using a small dab of a non seizing compound (never seize) brand name, on threads when putting in new plugs.

Change spark plugs on a 1999 6.8ltr V-10 with aluminum heads without stripping threads?

Of course, if they won't come out cold warm the engine a little but not too much. When you install them use a little Champion spark plug lube or sensor safe anti seize compound OR take it to someone who has the required expertise. If they are already seized from previous improper installation you will have trouble.

What is anti-seize compound that goes on a spark plug?

This is a grease that goes on the threads of the spark plug. Its purpose is to prevent the seizing of the threads in the hole. Steel spark plugs in aluminum heads are prone to doing this.

How do I change spark plugs in 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage?

Those shouldn't be too hard to change.
    You'll need:

    3/8 drive ratchet
    6 inch extension
    5/8 inch spark plug socket
gap tool for spark plugs (Autozone usually has them at the counter)
    anti seize compound
torque wrench for tapered seat spark plug (beam style)

First you need to remove the spark plug wires from end of the spark plugs. To remove a wire/boot grab the boot at the top and twist it a couple of times to break the boot loose from the plug. Don't pull the boot out by the wire. Once it is loose pull up on the boot to remove the wire/boot. Take note of which wire goes where. If you have any damaged wires, wires that have white flash burns, boots that are contaminated with engine oil, or boots that are damaged you should replace the wires/boots as a set.

Put together your ratchet, extension, and socket. Remove the spark plugs by turning CCW.

Using the gap tool make sure that the gaps are set correctly on your plugs. All platinum and iridium plugs come pre-gapped and should be inspected before you purchase them at the counter. The gap specifications should be on the underhood sticker. It is probably .044 inch. If they are platinum or iridium plugs, it isn't recommended to use a coin or wire gap tool because you may damage the center electrode or ground strap points.

Apply a tiny amount of anti seize to the spark plug threads. The anti seize will aid in installation and removal later on. Carefully tighten the spark plug. If the plug you are installing is equipped with a crush washer, seat the plug, then tighten about 1/4 turn to crush the washer. If you are installing a tapered seat plug, tighten the plug with a torque wrench to specifications provided by the vehicle or plug manufacturer.

What should the spark plugs be torqued to? I asume its a aluinum cylinder head.

TORQUE SPARK PLUGS AT 18 FT LBS. APPLY LIGHT COAT OF ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND TO THE THREADS OF THE SPARK PLUGS TO KEEP FROM DAMAGING CYLINDER HEADS NEXT TIME YOU REMOVE SPARK PLUGS.THEY WILL UNLOOSEN MORE EASILY WITH OUT DAMAGING PLUG THREADS.

spark plug part # NGK 1zfr5k-11

    Torque specs for spark plugs

You don't need to torque spark plugs. Just make them tight. I usually add never-seize on the threads but I have never once torqued spark plugs.

Replacing spark plugs on a 2004 chevy malibu

    2.2L Engine
    1. Observe the following service precautions:

Allow the engine to cool before removing the spark plugs. Attempting to remove spark plugs from a hot engine can cause the spark plugs to seize. This can damage the cylinder head threads. Clean the spark plug recess area before removing the spark plug. Failure to do so can result in engine damage due to dirt or foreign material entering the cylinder head, or in contamination of the cylinder head threads. Contaminated threads may prevent proper seating of the new spark plug. Use only the spark plugs specified for use in the vehicle. Do not install spark plugs that are either hotter or colder than those specified for the vehicle. Installing spark plugs of another type can severely damage the engine.
    2. Turn the ignition OFF .
    3. Disconnect the Electronic Ignition (EI) module harness connector.
    4. Remove the spark plugs using a 5 / 8 inch spark plug socket.

    To install:

WARNING Do not coat spark plug threads with anti-seize compound. If anti-seize compound is used and spark plugs are over-torqued, damage to the cylinder head threads may result.
    1. Inspect the gap on the new spark plugs, re-gap the plugs as required. The spark plug gap specification is 42 inch. (1.0 mm).
    2. Install the spark plugs and tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
    3. Apply dielectric compound to the spark plug boots and make sure no corrosion is present.
    4. Install the ignition coil housing to cam cover and attachment bolts.
    5. Tighten the ignition coil housing bolts to 89 inch. lbs. (10 Nm).
    6. Connect the EI module harness connector. Push in until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
