I was driving home on the interstate at 70 miles an hour in 5th gear and my car started jerking. why????

The engine has developed a misfire, most likely. Did the check engine light come on or start flashing? If so, find out what codes has set to determine which cylinder is misfiring and then proceed with the repair.

I have a 09 Toyota Corolla. I was driving down the interstate when the serpentine belt broke, all the lights on the dash flashed on then off and the engine killed. I later found the water pump pulley bad...

pull oil cap and look in valve cover and see if you can see valves moving chances are if it died when driving you may need to rehome your idle speed control try turning key on engine off for 10 sec on 10 sec off for 6 to trys and then give it about half throttle and try to start and see if it runs if it does see if it idles if it dont idle try the 10 on and off a few more times

It is not unusual for a camshaft sensor (or crankshaft position sensor) to fail. They are replaceable. If the onboard computer does not get the correct input it cannot control the engine timing correctly and automatically shuts down.

Engine dies while driving down the interstate. battery gauge reads charged. it will not trun over. seems like the starter is not getting power

How do you re-start after this happens?
I suggest you carry a small volt meter, and check power and voltage at the battery and starter while the problem is happening. (I don't have to tell you that testing should be done well off the road where it's safe!!!)
