SOURCE: Check engine light came on.

P1135 means that your O2 sensor has gone bad. The O2 sensor on the Toyota's are called Air fuel sensor's. If you have a 4 cylinder engine, the O2 is on the exhaust down pipe before the catalytic converter, and if it's a V6 it the O2 sensor on the fire wall side along the down pipe from the exhaust manifold. (sensor 1, bank 1) Good luck and keep me posted, check the wire harness. The wire harness could have corroded or burnt from the exhaust, but most likely it's going to be a bad O2. Keep me posted ,be glad to help

Hi, Toyota have recalled its 2001-2003 Rav4s I own 2 of them and my 2002 had the same problem until I call Toyota National customer service and confirmed that my VIN# fail in the recalled vehicle. the main problem is ECM and replaced by local Toyota dealer free of charge. You need to act now by next year this warranty will end since your vehicle will turn 10 years. The other thing is it got to be under 150,000 miles on it. Call the Toyota National customer service right away.

SOURCE: how do you fix a code#P0125 on a 1998 toyota 4 runner?insufficient coolent temp. for closed loop control?

first check radiator level if it is full and the heater is working good make sure temp gauge is functioning c orrectly it is most likely the coolant temp sensor but if this is a high milage vehicle and you have owned long time and never changed i would also replace thermostat and check plug to temp sensor forr good conections and good wires

How to repair P0125 for 2000 Mercury Mountaineer

P0125 OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Insufficient Coolant Temperature For Closed Loop Fuel Control What does that mean? This means that the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor indicates that the engine has not reached the required temperature level to enter closed-loop operation within a specified amount of time after starting the engine. Symptoms You will likely not notice any drivability problems. Causes A code P0125 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Insufficient warm up time Low engine coolant level Leaking or stuck open thermostat Faulty coolant temperature sensor Possible Solutions The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or a low coolant level). Check engine code P0125

PO125---- Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control

No idea what car or engine you have

If you have a coolant temp sensor it could be bad

The thermostat also cool be stuck open

Both could be bad

Without the correct coolant temp (thermostat) or temp
sensor working, then your running the fuel injector timing
off Computer Controlled Open Loop-- meaning the oxygen
sensors are not in use as in closed loop & your wasting
gas ,as you have only a preset control over fuel trim eg:
no adjustment as you drive

I would install new spark plugs if over 3 years old -nothing
else,tune-ups are long gone 30 years ago, only the plugs left,
don't go done that road of being pitched something you don't need

I would new install front oxygen sensors, not the rear ones,
if over 100,000 miles
New thermostat & coolant temp sensor (CTS) if that
is what you have or other correction for that situtation.

1999 toyota camry 6 cylinder check engine trouble codes

That's a lot going on! If those are real errors, you could spend some time and money fixing it. May not be too hard, but if you have an electrical gremlin somwe here causing the problem, then that could be a pain to fix.
If clearing the code for inspection is your goal, you could look into an OBD2 bluetooth scanner to work with your phone. I use one along with Torque for Android. I can check and clear codes with my phone, but I do 95% of my maintenance myself.

Year 2001 XG300 P0115, P1159, P1191, P1193, P0115

P0115 - Engine Coolant Temp Sensr - open/short
P1159 - Variable Intake Motor Malfunction

P1191/P1193 Limp Home Valve - Low RPM

First, clean the throttle body and check for anything which might obstruct AIR FLOW to it.

The P1159 is the Variable Intake Motor Malfunction. this motor is either 'OPEN'... or 'CLOSED' position. It is located on/in the intake manifold (plenum) and is only opened when cruising... it is closed at idle. If it sticks 'OPEN' is can cause drivability issues.

Same error codes keep reappearing P0125, P1135,P0171and P1130

It seems this is a fuel problem from the description I get on my scanner for these codes. Is there any way I can get a more in depth explanation than just what shows on the scanner exp. (P0125 closed loop fuel insufficent coolant temp).Changing gas cap and plug wires solved nothing. P-0125 indicates that your thermostat is sticking open. The engine is not warming up enough to change from OPEN loop to CLOSED loop. P-0171 indicates that you have a dirty MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. Replace the thermostat, and clean the MAF. Then clear the codes and drive it, and recheck for any codes.
