1989 Dodge Dynasty won't start after storage, can you help?

Have someone stand near the back, and listen for the fuel pump while you are attempting to start the vehicle. If there is no sound from the pump, it may be bad- A typical problem with tank mounted pumps after long-term storage. If there is fuel pressure, check for spark at one of the spark plugs. If it has fuel and spark, but still does not start, you will probably need a technician to look it over. Good luck, hope you get it going!

1989 MB 190e: runs out of gas when fuel gauge shows not empty. Need to know the tank capacity so I'll know if it's the gauge or something else

You will need to replace the fuel level sensor, this involves the removal of the fuel tank to access the sending unit.

If the car has current in the plugs and gas coming to the cylinders then it damn well start. Is the car being cranked? if yes, the battery is fine. Check the current in the plugs. The spark should be blue. The fuel pump working?

Stalled out and won't start now

hi there this sounds like a fuel problem to me if the fuel pump is faulty this will also happen make sure you have a clean new fuel filter in the car and make sure there and no splits in the fuel hose and if all Else fails check the fuel tank if something si blocking the flow in the tank this will cause no fuel to run to the car at all , fuel tanks corrode inside and **** falls in to the fuel which is why you have a fuel filter make sure the out going line in the tank is free from blockage might mean tanking the fuel tank off and having a look or if theres a big enough opening were the fuel sender unit is you might be able to see ther without tanking the tank off

hope this helps thanks for Using FixYa

Car hard to crank and stalling

Hi

Expensive part to fit, as a guess.!

Have an exhaust gas tested first, this will confirm that the cat converter is shot or not !

Sounds more like a sensor problem to me .

Good Luck !

A FixYa rating would be nice Please !

Fuel gauge doesn't work on a 1989 dodge omni

Hi

Sounds like he forgot to reconnect the wires ?

Check this first, if they are OK, bridge them, and the fuel gage should read full.
If this is so, you can get a new tank unit.

Expect he has left the wires off !

Good Luck !

a FixYa rating would be appreciated Please !

John.
