Hello my volvo has no power at all! wondering what i blew fuse etc i don't know

Did you connect the Batteries you jumped with correctly? In Parallel you have 12 volts (correct) in Series you have 24 volts (incorrect). Check your main power fuse ( Big 60 amp or 40Amp) located in plastic box close to the battery on the inner fender well. Be careful jumping dead batteries! Explosion hazard exist, wear eye protection always.

2005 gmc yukon fan relay location

In the under hood fuse / relay box ! There are three of them COOLFAN/relay 1-2-3 . It's marked on the under side of fuse box lid .
The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the powertrain control module (PCM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans and fan relays receive battery positive voltage from the underhood fuse block.

How do i turn of the red imobaliser light. It is not on when key in the ignition only when removed

is lamp in the CLUSTER? (not on ours)
no other lights stuck on (warning?)
are you saying the IMMO lamp glows, key out of car>?
that is a relay stuck. (or bad ignition switch or short there)
what country, this is USA site, so no country and no engine stated.
means all answer are wrong. (guessing)

it has its own theft deterrent ECU. (has power all the time,)
and the Immobilizer to main PCM.
my guess is one of 2 relays bad. (or input key switch bad to relay)
IG1 relay
and ( EFI-EOD) relay. can fail if above is stuck.

1994 explorer 4x4 relay

Hi, I hope your question is about identifying relays and fuses. If that is the case I will try to eplain: A relay will have more than two connections: it has two connections normally marked as +12V and -12V. if you pull the relay out and apply voltage on these terminals observing the correct polarities ( battery + to relay + and battery - to relay - ) you will here the relay click(if it is working) and if you place a meter on the other contacts (outputs) you should get a voltage reading, (depending on the relay diagram) which should go by disconnecting the battery. For brevity I have not gone into details on normally on and normally off but this explanation should be sufficient to identify a relay switch. Fuses on the other hand will have only two connections. Imagine cutting a wire into two and then joining the two wires by putting a conducting material in between. Thus a fuse is in series with the wiring. Fuses can be in different shapes but that characteristic of having only two connections will always hold true. I hope this helps.

Replace fuel pump relay, where is it and how do I identify it

Disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery's negative terminal to shut off the power. Disconnecting the positive terminal is also a good precaution. 2 Open the hood and check inside the fuse box in the engine compartment. The fuel relay is located here on most cars. Check the underside of the fuse box lid for a diagram showing the fuses/relays in the box and their locations. If the relay is not in the fuse box, check the manual or with your mechanic.3 Remove the fuel pump relay, which is a cube-shaped object that connects with prongs like an electrical plug. Disconnect the plug-in (and fuse, if needed) to the relay to remove it. If the relay is within the box, pry it out carefully with the help of a flathead screwdriver.4 Use the old relay as a guide to get the correct replacement at an auto supply store. A new relay can range in price from $12 to $45. Some relay brands can be more reliable than others. Check with a store specialist for the best relay brand for your vehicle.5 Install the new relay into place in the vehicle. Reconnect the plug-in, fuse and any other connectors. Reconnect the battery cables.6 Repressurize the fuel system, as it should have depressurized after removing the relay. Make sure the gas cap is secure, then turn the ignition on for 2 seconds and shut it off for up to 10 seconds. Repeat at least 5 times; the recommended number can vary, depending on the vehicle.

Horn Relay

  • Use the crescent wrench to remove the battery cables. The battery cables are attached to the top of the battery. Loosen the nuts that hold the cables to the battery post and then slide off.

  • Locate the fuse/sensor box underneath your hood. The box is long, black and rectangular in shape. In most Buicks, it is located on the driver's side, near the wheel well.

  • Unfasten the two plastic wing nuts that hold the fuse box casing in place. Use the pliers if the nuts are fastened to tightly to unscrew by hand.

  • Locate the horn relay and remove it. There will be several relays inside the fuse box. Consult your owner's manual, with the specific make and model of your Buick, to pinpoint the correct relay. Use your flathead screwdriver to depress the small clamps on the side of the relay. This will allow you to remove the old relay.

  • Place the new relay into the socket and then reverse the steps
