If you have fuel pressure then my question is does the motor turn over. if the motor turns over, remove the distributor cap and watch the rotor assembly. If that doesn't turn when you crank the motor the timing belt/chain is broken. If it does then you will need to start trouble shooting the electrical system.

Changed the fuel filter but now car won't start? Please Help!!!

are you sure it was the fuel filter the actual problem? may be the fuel pump went out? check to see if you have fuel in the tank some mechanics put some fuel in the fuel filter just like they do with the oild filter.

Suzuki1999 grand vitara will not start

the fuel pump is only designed to run until it reaches a preset pressure. once it reaches that pressure it turns off. One way I know to check it without dropping the tank is to remove the fuel filter. Put the fuel line in a gas can so you don't get gas all over. turn the key on if the pump keeps pumping fuel then it's not the problem. at that point I would buy a new fuel filter because it may be clogged and the reason no fuel is getting to the engine and they are inexpensive and a good idea to keep changed anyway.

My Ford E150 van, when almost floored, doesn't catch gas to the engine. Then I let up, and the van slows down 5 or 10 mph the engine works fine. What could this be?

clogged fuel filter, or it may be that the fuel pump is going bad. change filter, and while you have the line off, have a bottle ready, and put it over the line to catch the fuel. have someone turn on the key, but don't crank it, and see if you have fuel coming into the bottle. if so, then you may just have a bad fuel filter.

I have a fuel pump problem. Is there an access palel under the seat to get to the fuel pump, or do I have to drop the gas tank?

Some cars do, some don't. You will just have to look. Trust me, I wish all cars had an access panel, cause dropping tanks is not fun....ever.
Check all rubber hose connections and replace the loose, dried out, turn your fingers black, leaking hose's. Will save you time and prevent headaches.
Triple check everything as you reassemble, because it's a real pain to go backwards.
I hope you got an OE pump either thru your parts store or even better from a dealer.
Do not waste your time with a $50 dollar chinese cheapo. (Unless your going to make a habit of changing your pump!!)

AND please change the fuel filter.
AND, make sure the tank has at least 5 gallons of gas in it, before you try to start it.
Most tank baffles wont let 1 or 2 gallons reach the pump, sitting still.
AND when you think your ready to start it, crawl under there and check all the connections again!!

Why is my 1995 3.4 liter 6 cylinder Pontiac firebird less fuel efficient than it was 2 months ago and how do i change the fuel pump

I don't know why its not fuel efficient. But the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. you should not attempt to replace it yourself, and don't change it on a whim. prove that's its bad, its an expensive guess.

Not getting fuel to the carby, have checked float bowl(empty) have taken fuel line off and turned engine over but no fuel comes through. Fuel tank is full

On your Swift, there's probably a fuel filter located just off the gas tank that's somewhat hard to spot. It also takes a bit of finesse to get a wrench in position to change the filter, and so this part is often not changed out until it's completely plugged. I would suggest changing this filter to see if this makes any difference. However, even a plugged filter normally allows a bit of gasoline to dribble through.

A second possibility is that your fuel pump isn't working properly. I don't have my reference materials in front of me, but I believe that this car is equipped with an electric pump, as opposed to a mechanical pump on the engine. If your fuel pump isn't working, you won't get fuel delivery through the lines to your engine. Also, the fuel pump may have failed from having to work extra-hard to compensate for a partially or wholly blocked fuel filter (see above).

I would trouble-shoot both these items; I suspect that one or both of them are contributing to your fuel problem. I have seen a number of Swifts / Metros sold "as-is" or sent to the junk yard for running poorly when their only problem is a clogged fuel filter.

How to change fuel filter on 2005 nissan armada

I would start by pulling the fuel pump fuse and starting the vehicle. This will get rid of the pressure on the fuel line. Once the vehicle will not start crank it over for about 10-15 seconds. Then the fuel filter is located under the brake booster on the drivers side. It has two hose clamps that hold it on. Remove the two hose clamps and replace the filter. Then install the fuel pump fuse. Turn the key to the on position and wait till you hear the fuel pump shut off. Turn the key off and repeat this step 3 times to build fuel pressure. Then you should be ready to go!
