I can't detach the panel (FROM INSIDE)when the hatch door is closed. How can you do this without damaging the panel? Thanks

Hi! Have you tried removing the door trim from the inside to gain access to the lock mechanism of the door? Hope to know more. Thanks!

Take off your door panel and take a look. You can open it by manually pulling the door handle level.

You want to pull the level with the yellow tab to lock/unlock the doors:

And you want to pull towards the front of the car for on this level that my hand is on to open the door. 67e34dd.jpg

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

Hi. thank you for the quick reply. I assume the child lock is not engaged. Try to open the door panel of your car and look at the connection from the door handle going to the door mechanism. Something must be disconnected that is why you cannot open the door.

The door handle might be broken, you need a new part. I got mine online for $40. keywords: 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 Toyota Sequoia Metal Lift Gate Exterior Door Handle for Rear Outside Van Tailgate Handle. You need to remove the back door panel to replace this.

Dome light will not go off after closing door . I believe there was a delay before it went off, but now stays on.

It sounds like the door jam switch is not working. That happens when the door is not making full contact with the switch. Switch should be located somewhere along the door jam...either in the front or the rear part of jam. Have the switch checked out and replace if needed.

Both manual sliding doors on my Toyota Sienna will not open

If you can remove the inner door panel you will see a maze of cables running to the various locking points on the sliding door. If the cable going to the FRONT latch on the sliding door is broken (or in my case, simply dislodged inside the door) the door acts as if it is frozen shut.

The front cable is short, and easily replaced even by a newbie mechanic.
