This could be a bad module or a bad actuator motor , theres a motor that controls the temp door, for hot or cold air, just because it doesnt lite up means its bad, you may just have a bad actuator motor.

Where is the AC/Heater Control Actuator located?

Hi Joymar, The EATC module is mounted to the heater box under the dash, below the radio,to the right of HVAC controls. access through glove box opening.[remove glove box] look for module with wire & vacuum connections.if you see a linkage arm or rod, those are actuators, follow vacuum lines to control module.an actuator won't cause the fan to run, they control air flow.Automatic temp system modules are known to fail. My AC works but heater blows cold on my 99 Plymouth voyager

I used to install AC in those, so I might be able to help. It is either the temp adjustment linkage, or it is the accessory selector. When you go from AC to heater does the air move from the vents to blowing on the floor? If so then it is possible that the linkage to the temp controller has probably slipped off one of the levers that controls the incoming air, from cold to hot. It is an easy fix. It would have to be that, because if you couldn't switch from AC to heat, you can always make the AC hot with the temp control lever.

The fan for the heater/vent/AC is stuck on high and remains running when the vehicle is shut off. I am able to switch from vent to heater to AC to defrost, but the fan always stays on high. This is a 95...

Does this have auto temp control where you set the temp number or does it have a knob you set 1-5. I'll bet you have auto temp. and you need to replace the blower control module under the hood.

Ac controls for eletronic control

could be a problem with the blend door. common on explorers. open glove box all the way down (bend in tabs to where it will open further than normal) . take flashlight and look behind it to top of black box inside dash. should be able to see tab for door moving while changing the temp. on the control unit. if it is broken should be able to hear cracking or popping from inside heater case.

Ac and deforst buttons have no power, blows hot on window only

since your buddy is a Chrysler tech, he should know that the heater module can be recalibrated with the scan tool or pull the POSITIVE cable off for five mins and put back on restat the car and select all modes, I assume this worked prior to batt replacement, sevice manual helps you do a manual calibration in different modes. GOOD LUCK RDJRP

the door opening & closing on Max a/c is the inside/outside air intake door.
The temp blend door is the one you are concernd about. It says you have to remove instrument panel for access. ouch!!!

-------------------------------------
A/C Electronic Door Actuator Motor
The A/C electronic door actuator motor (19E616) is located on top of the A/C evaporator core housing assembly.
  • Its function is to move the A/C air temperature control door on command from the control assembly.
  • The A/C electronic door actuator motor contains a reversible electric motor and a potentiometer. The potentiometer wiper is connected to the actuator output shaft and moves with the output shaft to indicate the position of the A/C air temperature control door.
  • Battery voltage is applied to the ends of the potentiometer. The voltage available at the wiper indicates the position of the potentiometer. The actuator wiper voltage is sent to the control module and matched with the wiper voltage of the module potentiometer. The printed circuit board then drives the actuator motor in the direction necessary to make the actuator wiper voltage agree with the control module wiper voltage.
