Question about 1994 Geo Metro
The clutch pedal linkages need adjustment. The linkages have become so loose that when you press fully the action does not reach the clutch plates and hence you can not come out of first gear. So please have it adjusted/tightened.

First thing to check is the clutch cable, make sure it is adjusted properly. If your clutch cable is ok, then you will need to replace the throwout bearing. To replace that part, the transmission needs to be separated from the vehicle
