Okay, your truck steering pump may have the speed proportional steering SPS or not, the way to tell is by looking at the pump and see if you have the sensor on the pump where the high preasure line goes, heres two pictures for you to look at and compare to yours, if yours has the switch then its got the SPS type pump, if yours has no sensor then its the pump without, hope this helps good to find out witch power stering pump I have - 9fc49e7.jpgfd856f6.jpg

I have a 1998 jeep cherokee classic with 4 litre 6 it just developed a coolant leak in the front center of the engine pulley for water pump has a little play in it and i cant tell if its the water pump...

It sounds like your water pump is going out. Water pumps have a weep hole on them and when the seal is going out it will start leaking. Also you shouldn't have any play on the pulley.

I need to change the water pump and I need to know the proper way to do it for a 1997 Chevy Blazer LS 4.3 litre.

First you need to drain down the coolant, secound take top of fan shrould off 2#10 bolts on each side, third loosen fan bolts, fourth take belt off, fifth take fan off, sixth unbolt anything that is bolted to water pump like power steering pump, maybe ac. pump heater hoses ect. last take 4 bolts out that hold water pump to block 2 on each side and thats it. Clean old gasgets off engine block and bolt on new pump with new gasgets witch will come with new pump. Put back to gether in reverse order.

Stering pump ? for 1993 jeep cherokee 4.0 .

Loosen 2 pivot bolts on back of pump, 13mm. then loose one bolt on bottom/front. Turn adjustment bolt on right side/bottom of pump to loosen belt. Once belt if off, remove all of the bolts connection pump to engine bracket. Remove hoses going to pump. Install new one, filled up with fluid. Now you have to bleed air out of sys. Move steering wheel left/right to the stops. Do this about 10 times either direction.
