One more thing, if your car wont go into learning mode. Pull the fuse for the alarm and put it back in, its in the trunck # 6 or 4 I think. Check your car for the fuse listed for the alarm. It only needs to be pulled for a few seconds and put back in. I had to do it in order for my car to go into learn mode. It also enabled my trunck release button and switch to start working. I had to reset the alarm fuse every 2 programing attempts. This method and the directions described in my post above (in the link) worked on my 1995 XJ6, remember that this model is part of the x300 series XJ6. I hope that this helps, so please dont waste your money going to the dealer or paying for the instructions on ebay or any other site.

I have an Ultrastart (model UTX4, thats either the key fab model or remote itself) remote car starter. I changed the battery in key fab, light does not come on on fab. I seem to remember a code is nee

I had the same problem. you have two choices. 1-Go to an auto parts store and buy a new one, and then try to program it yourself. 2-Take your key fab to a Ford dealer and either have them reprogram the original or buy a new one. Sorry, but that's the only solution I have found.

I HAVE AN USED REMOTE CONTROL BECAUSE I LOST DE ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL, MY CAR HAVE THE FACTORY ALRAM PLEASE I NEED YOU HELP , TO ACTIVE THE USED REMOTE CONTROL , MY CAR IS A DOGED GRAND CARAVAN...

You will need to go to a dealership and have them program the remote that you've purchased into your car's computer. This service could cost upwards of $100 and has to be done by a dealership as the tools to perform that particular service aren't generally released to third party mechanics.

1994 jaguar xjs 4.0----need to know where the vacumm line that feeds vac to cruise control eminates from--yea i know, from the engine----but where ,specifically, on the engine ?????

On my 90 and 92, I have a vacuum line from the driver side intake manifold at about inline with the # cylinder. It travels to the firewall between engine and firewall to a connection underneath the battery. That line goes through the firewall and connects to other lines roughly above your feet if you are sitting in the passenger side of the car.

Key fob malfunction

The fab key it self may be bad at the unlock switch it self and the fab key needs to be replaced. You can try to reset the fab lock if you like and see if that addresses the issue.
Important
Once the Keyless entry receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode, the programming of the first transmitter erases all previous transmitter programming information. You must then program all of the transmitters.

Program only 1 vehicle remote control door lock receiver at a time. If you program multiple receivers simultaneously, the same transmitter could possibly be programmed to more than 1 remote control door lock receiver.

Perform the following steps:
Sit in the vehicle driver's seat. (actually it’s much err from the front pass seat)
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Close all of the vehicle's doors.
Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Electronic Diagnosis in Body and Chassis.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second.
Open and then close any vehicle door. You will hear a chime when the remote control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode. If you do not hear a chime, start again at step 1.

Important
After 7 seconds, you may hear a chime confirming successful synchronization. After approximately 14 seconds, you will hear a chime confirming successful programming.

Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
Repeat step 8 in order to program each additional transmitter.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Install the MALL PGM fuse back into the fuse panel. Refer to Electrical Diagnosis in Body and Chassis.
Validate that all the transmitters that were programmed operate properly. Refer to Keyless Entry System Operation

Good luck and hope this helps. If you have problems you can try asking the service department at the dealer where you bought the car or where you have the car serviced. Simple things like this most of the time will not cost much and may even be free of charge if you have a good relationship with them.
Good luck and hope this helps.
