You need to raise the vehicle and start it. Remove the plug near where the passenger side driveshaft comes out. The head of the plug is 7/16. Trans fluid will stream out of the hole when the engine is running when the transmission is full, If fluid doesn't run out, fill the trans until fluid runs out. The fill cap is red and it is on top under and around the air cleaner box. If you need more help let me know.

The cleaning is by flushing. DO NOT LET THEM FLUSH YOUR TRANNY! It will do nothing but damage the tranny.
For as fluid. the 3.2 quarts is if you dont drain the torque converter. If you drain the converter then it will take about 14 to 16 quarts.
The reason i say do not let them flush the tranny is because they force the fluid backwards through the system and that will damage it. Also if the tranny is almost on its last "leg" and you may not know it. Then all that will do is speed the process up.

You can use dextron 3 or dextron III ATF transmission fluid. You can get this fluid at any local car parts store in your area.
Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

SOURCE: How do you replace the
You need to replace more than the fluid, you need to change the filter. What happens is the filter can plug, and drop fluid pressure, then the clutches slip and burn.
You may want to consider having a lube shop, equiped with the T-Tech flush machine to do this job. If you drop the pan, you cannot drain the torque converter, cooling lines or cooling radiator. The t-tech machine puts in new fluid until clean fluid comes out...
