I had a short in the front power outlet when I tried to insert the power adaptor to my gps unit. The radio in my 2004 Honda Pilot does not turn on anymore. I checked the fuse under the hood and it is fine. Is there another fuse I should be looking at? Did the short take my radio out completely? I need help.

if you are having radio issues where you have to mess with the fuse to make it work i would say it is the culprit for the battery draw, a lot of radios trigger the eject when power is reconnected for the memory wire, that is not a problem with the radio. try unplugging the radio and see if that fixes the battery draw.
The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Check the fuses I have indicated in the diagram below as they all are connected to the radio in some way or another.

The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. Check the #19 - 30 Amp in there as well. This powers the Subwoofer and I suspect the amp as well.
Obviously there's short somewhere or radio have short out.
You can change the radio one from junk yard or test each speaker individually @ where the connect to the radio. Want to go even more advance. Get a mutlimeter and check it resistance or etc.
If it's the radio that's faulty try unplugging it and plug. The purpose of fade is to fade and distribute the the sound in speakers there for won't help with the problem. You can even use a aa battery to check speaker.
If speaker faulty get one out the junkyard.
Have you got the code for the radio? If So, disconect it and leave it off for 30mins, re-connect it to the power supply and insert your code, this should reset the radio, failing that has anybody been playing with it, ie children, putting items in there that should not be there? Coins for example.

Even thought the plug in is 12 volt. It's ouput is different. Most electronics have different ranges from 3-9 volts. Does the 12 volt charger put out 12 volts? If so, it would burn up the electronics' capacitors on their power supplies. How is the car's electronics doing? Are they too failing? If so, that would be a faulty voltage regulator, if not, I would hook up anything you use to the radio wires. You cannot plug in anything directly to battery no matter what the person told you. Batteries charge, than release charge, a contiuous cycle. The power output is speratic and anything hooked straight up to the battery will need a fuse.
haha. boys will be boys, right? can you give me the model and serial numbers on the radio unit? they should be stamped somewhere on it, so i can try to find some info on it.
first thing is to find the main power wires. does any of the wires match the schematics description of the ignition input, battery power input or negative/ground? the battery power is usually red, orange. the ignition input is usually yellow or pink. and the ground is usually brown or black. these wires are usually solid colors and should be thicker than the others.
are you able to tell where the inputs for these are on the unit?
do you know if the radio is tied into the security system?
