If the oil is worn out then you will suffer no preesure, hence the knock, try changing the oil and filter.thenn if the knock persists, you may need to rebuild your engine.

My car could not start, my brake next to accellarator felt hard I had to pump the brake a few time the start carup otherwise car could not start

ther brake will be hard as the servo has lost its vacumn, best advise i can give here is to ask a local mechanic to have a look as it might just need the spark plug gaps resetting -25th- if the gaps are too wide then it will have a job to start especially on a cold morning

When I turn on the car, there is a high pitch squeal. It last for 10 seconds and then goes away. It usually only happens in cold or rainy weather. Do you know what is going on and what I should do about...

It could be as simple as a loose or worn alternator belt that needs replacement or the cars charging system is not putting enough charge back into the battery under normal running so when first started in the morning the battery requires more power from the alternator which in turn puts more load on the alternator belt, Get the belt checked first then get the battery and charging checked, the first item being the cheapest to repair. Hope this helps.

2006 Hyundai Tiburon Question!

I live in Northern Ontario and I use my Tiburon as my 'winter beater'. Despite all of the problems with the car, mine starts reasonably well in very cold weather.

Getting your battery checked was a good start. The next step is to check your starter motor:

If the starter motor is failing, then it will just 'click' and not try to start the engine at all. Then, after a few attempts, the starter will suddenly work and start the engine just like normal. If this is the case, then get your starter replaced.

My hyundai is making a rattling noise

that sounds like what we call "spark knock" that occurs when u accellerate quickly, but yes it will go away in a few seconds when the computer detects this condition. with the economy the way it is it will be more expensive, but try running higher octane gasoline in it, should cure this condition. hope that helped you!!

Sonata losing power

Hmm, it's hard to diagnose without being there in person. Whatever help I can give you is this: The 9 causes of why an engine does not exert as much power as it should to take off right away as soon as you press down:

Engine knock noise on cold startup

these 3.3l engines are equipped with timing chains. if vehicle has prolonged down time, typically more than 4 hours, vehicle makes a chatter until the timing chain tensioners put tension on the chain. you will need them replaced.
