Headlamp adjustment Has zenon headlamps. We are taking it to France soon - is there an adjustment we can do ourselves? I read that these headlamps can't just have stickers put on. Sheila

I had the same issue and I noticed that the bulb itself was not screwed in properly. The bulb has 3 small plastic guides that fit in 3 holes in the lamp socket, after which you are supposed to give it a small twist and the plastic guides go under the metal part in the lamp socket; in my case one of the plastic guides was left outside so the bulb was not straight in the socket. Take the bulb out and install it properly, I took the whole lamp out but this is not really necessary.

Headlights point down in son's 2002 audi TT...need to adjust them. Any tips on doing this successfully? No audi dealer near us here in rural nebraska. Thank you.

Hi, are the headlamps Zenon? If they are you will need to take the car to a dealer. If they are normal halogen lamps then you can adjust them with a 6mm hex key. If you look vertically downwards at the rear of the lamp unit you'll see the adjuster about halfway down facing up at you. simply turn with the hex key until you reach the required adjustment.
Hope that helps Matt..

2002 audi s3 zenon headlight is to low is it possible to adjust it manualy if so how

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

    UK Headlights to French Headlights

The headlamps themselves will look identical. If you were to look at the beam pattern of the light, then it would be different. Your original headlights were designed to throw excess light to the passenger side of the road (I.E. away from oncoming cars). Now that driving directions are opposite in France, your old headlights would be throwing the excess light into the oncoming cars, blinding them). The new lights are designed to throw the light away from those oncoming cars.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.
