The center fitting on the fuel pump is for the evap hose. It will have a different connector than the two fuel hoses.

The fuel pressure hose is the larger diameter. The return line is the smaller diameter. If you look carefully at the two outside fittings on the fuel pump module you will notice they are two different sizes. The return line will only fit on the smaller diameter fitting.

Why did my fuel pump go out. Again i just replace it 3 weeks. Ago. 95 chev corsica

it could just be a bad fuel pump, it could also be a pinched in your fuel line somewhere, your fuel filter could be plugged, or something could of gotten hooked up wrong. I would look at the fuel lines and make sure there are no kinks in them, I would also try replacing the fuel filter, and when you replace the pump make sure everything is hooked up right. also make sure not to run your car low on gas the gas acts as a lubricant for the filter and helps keep it cool.

I ran my 98 Pontiac Transport out of gas. I had to replace battery. I put 9 gals of gas in. I can't get van to start.

you need to get the air out of the fuel line. on the fuel line there is a valve take the cap off and push the pin down until fuel come out. when it does it will come out with some preusser. then try to start engine. if not start do it again to the valve. until no air in system.

Remove fuel lines from fuel pump housing

You may need a fuel line tool that compresses a spring in the collar. You can get them at any auto store..

I hava a 1992 pontiac grand am . I replaced the fuel tank and the fuel pump. It trys to start but it will not run. It is like it is getting some gas but not enough to start.

Put at least 5 gallons of gas in the tank. Most tank baffles won't let 1 or 2 gallons get to the pump.
Before you do that, go back and make sure everything is hooked up, and no rotten rubber lines at tank and evap connections. If you didn't already, change the fuel filter.

Installed new fuel pump because car had old gas in tank. removed tank and completly drained it. replaced tank and installed new fuel pump and fuel filter. put about 6 gallons of gas in car. have tried to...

Okay, you need to make sure the fuel pump is getting power and that you have the lines hooked up correctly. Also, when you replace fuel pumps you need to remove the air cleaner and use starter fluid to get the engine started.

I put a new fuel pump in my 1998 pontiac transport with the 3.4 motor and it still wont start. it has spark and cranks over but wont start

remove the fuel line from the fuel rail and turn the ignition on, if the pump is working there should be fuel coming from the hose, if there is none go back to the fuel filter and remove the inlet hose from the fuel filter and turn the ignition on, if fuel comes out from there your fuel filter is blocked, if there is no fuel your pump is not working
