Question about 1999 Volkswagen Beetle
The check engine light will not clear out.thebrake light switch was replaced by dealer and the light came on.now theres problems getting it off.when the switch was replaced they updated the software . now the diagnostic tests show code P1057.THAT CODE ISNT FOR THE VW.the nc inspection code that comes up isnt anything thats suppose to be on the car.it coming up the hybrid battery pack, and the car is not hybrid its a gas car.do you think when they updated the software that a mistake could have happened.they dont even know what the code p1057 is. thank you, sylvia
They definitely made a mistake. Take it back and have them reflash it. hope this helps.
