find the starter or ignition relay and replace it... generally either on the fuse panel inside the car or the fuse panel located in the engine compartment.

I have seen this many times on Sonatas. The problem is likely to be your cars Purge Control Valve sticking open and allowing fuel vapor to be pushed into the engine while filling the car with gas. This valve is mounted near the intake manifold and has a vacuum line to the manifold and another that routes under the car to the vapor canister.

SOURCE: car alarm randomly goes off
there is a hood switch located at front passenger side under hood. check to make sure the plunger at hood is pushing the switch completely down. sometimes there may be just enough clearance that a strong wind will set the alarm off.

SOURCE: Why would a 2000 hyundai
The engine light came ON.Whenever the check engine light comes on then that is the indication of error codes stored in cars computer. In this case the car needs to be scanned at car diagnosis center to retrieve the codes.Once the error codes are received the exact faulty part can be replaced as per the codes./You can get the car scanned at your local car garage,if they do the diagnostic check for the care. But if there is no place near by your area to do the diagnostic check, then at www.autozone.con service center its absolutely free to get car scanned. And also at autozone they deal will car parts so you can get the parts replaced from autozone if required. ------------------ The check engine light ON means it can be any thing faulty /loose which is not getting detected by the cars computer.Every electrically controlled part in your car is controlled/detected by the computer. So if any of the part connection gets loose or that part itself gets faulty/short then computer will not see/detect that part and so this check engine light comes ON. ------------ This will help.Thanks.
