Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.
On your Matrix, if you have a transmission dipstick, you do not have 100,000 mile transmission fluid. All Toyota vehicles that have the long-life fluid do not have a dipstick installed.
We recommend that the ATF be drained and refilled at 30K miles, and flushed at 60 K mile intervals. Using this maintenance regimen, we never rebuild any transmissions.
Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance. If my assistance proves useful, please consider a 4 thumbs rating for me. I'd greatly appreciate it. Have a great day.

You could try having the fluid changed but beware, if it hasn't been changed in the last 100k miles or so the fresh detergent in the trans fluid can sometimes clean too well and leave you needing a new transmission. If you know it's been over 100k without a fluid change my suggestion would be to keep nursing the trans along and start saving money for a new transmission or a new car.

Transmission fluid flush

Its a matter of opinion. Most experts will tell you to change the fluid and filter at 50k and again at 100k etc.
If you have not yet serviced it, then yes you should now. Once you pass 100k you run the risk of making the trans not function if you change the fluid-filter. It has to do with particles in the fluid and the condition of the fluid. New fluid at say 150k can be a problem for the clutches.

Gear Box is not engaging in reverse

When was last trans fluid & filter change? (I'm assuming it's an auto. trans.) Trans fluid & filter should be changed every 30k or 3 years. I'd start there and have system flushed when you do the filter change.

I have a 1995 ford explorer, lately it seems as if the trans is pulling, but when the gas is lightly pressed it seems to shift correctly what do u think the problem could be.

First thing I would do is change trans fluid and filter if trans is acting out of the "norm". On cars, trans fluid and filter should be changed every 50k, on trucks and vehicles that do frequent towing, trans fluid should be done every 30k. (I'm assuming this is an automatic trans - you didn't mention)

I just bought a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T, with a HEMI. I'm wondering if someone can tell me which maintenance things I should have taken care of (without trying to sell me unneccesary or un-needed costs. I'm...

I would recommend spark plugs every 30K, Trans. fluid and filter change every 60K, Brake fluid flush every 100K. I usually only flush the power steering fluid if yhere has been a component failure causing fluid contamination. Coolant should be flushed every 5 years or 100K, and rear differential fluid changed every 30K. I have several of these cars come in my shop with 200-300K miles. They can be very reliable if maintained properly.

How many miles for a tune up 2005 chevy trailblazer

Most of the car dealers recommend to perform Maintenance services scheduled at 30K, 50K, 90K and so on.
At 30K they mostly inspect all the systems, and replace fuel filter.
At 60K they inspect systems and flush must of the fluids, transmission oil and filter, coolant, brake fluid, differential and transfer case fluid, and replace the air filter. Some replace the spark plus at 60K some at 100K.
At 90K all timing belts are replaced, and the status of the timing chain checked. A deviation of more than 5 degree means, there it is the time ayes on the timing chain.
At the Owners manual for 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer recommend:
Inspect all the systems at 25K, and replace fuel filter.
Replace engine air cleaner filter, automatic transmission fluid, automatic transfer case fluid every 50K.
Replace spark plugs every 100K.
Maintenance Services for your car are scheduled at 25K, 50K, 75K,100K and so on. All are tune ups but they are not the same.
The only concern for GM is the GM Dex-Cool antifreeze. There are some complaints regarding this product. I recommend to flush the cooling system every 50K to 60K.

I am looking for a 1988 mercedes 560sl service manual with the scheduled 50,000-60,000-70,000-80,000-90,000 and 100,000 mile service or what is suggested at these intervals.

your vehicle is serviced in mainly 15,000 mile increments. 30k are the bigger of the 2. 60k is the biggest. oil is changed every 5k. at 15k change oil and spark plugs check air filter and inspect vehicle. at 30k replace trans fluid and filter as well and at 60k replace fuel filter. change oil on schedule and replace your timing chain and guide rails if vehicle has 100k or more miles-at least have them inspected because the chains do break. After oil change disable ignition and build up oil pressure before vehicle fires off. the chain tensioners are hydraulic
