A few things to check , if it is has a carby then maybe needle is worn and you need to crank vehicle to get fuel all the way from tank to carby , also if it is a carby there is a glass window on side of carby it should be half full at least before you try to start car , you will have to remove air filter assembly to see this on most cars ., the fuel pump is bolted to side of head or block and has a manual pump , this has a small hole at its bottom if any fuel is leaking from here then you will need to replace fuel pump.and also do an oil change as some feed fuel into your oil ..

if you car is fuel injected , maybe you have fuel blockage or fuel pump is needing replacing , change fuel filters first and make sure there is not 2 filters as some have 2 , second usually located near tank under rear of car , sometimes hidden in rear bumper.
hope this helps ..

My tempo stoped running wile driving in the snow. smoke or steam was cumming out of the back of the engine now my tempo wont start the engine wont even turn to try to start

Take care of cranking 1st, check battery see if it's good, try to get a jump start see if it will turn over, could be a bad alternator or battery.

Problems with start up

check intake passages like air filters, aftermarket filters like k&n are great filters but not when there not cleaned up and are clogged. check innitial fuel pressure and leave pressure gauge on vehicle overnight to see how fast fuel pressure takes to build on first start up, if it takes a wile (couple of cranks or so) it might
be a fuel pump (check relay to it first there is no pressure and suddenly it jumps up).
