Question about 1998 Volvo S70
Engine runs then die's
Try replacing the spark plug wires, and distributer cap, I found arching from wire to cap on mine, and mine was doing the same thing.

The ck engine light should not be ignored, what sensor was shown to be bad ? Have it scanned again and replace the sensor that is bad if it still runs rough you might want to consider a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel and air filter's and clean the throttle body with some gumout. It could also be the IAC motor Idle Air Control. Good Luck

start with performing a tune-up (if not done recently), replace sparkplugs, wires, air filter and have also the IAC valve and intake throttle body cleaned. If problem persists, have the timing checked. Hopefully this helps

you need a tune up...plugs, possible wires too, they might have a lot of carbon tracking deposits on them ...clean (IAC) sensor, if you"ve never cleaned it, believe me it"ll be dirty.. and then make sure you completely clean you throttle body too inside and out! but wait an hour after before starting to let it air dry...clean air filter or replace it, and replace fuel filter if it hasn"t been replace in a long time. also after you"ve done this purchase a can of Sea Foam fuel system cleaner $10 and pour 1/2 can into 1/2 tank of gas and drive around even if its running "a little rough", for about 30 minutes and this should clean out any fuel injectors that may be possibly clogged up! if you you cant drive the car but will idle only after cleaning (idle air control), pour some seafoam in the tank and let it idle for about ten minutes then try to see if it will run. If none of this works then you probably have a fuel pump not putting out the correct pressure!
