2010 jeep liberty no start with gate lite on dash

The rear gate is the rear door at the back of the vehicle..Open and shut it to make sure it is latched...Then wear safety glasses disconnect negative battery cable to clear codes ..reconnect then try to start it..You shouldn't have the code once gate is shut however disconnecting the battery will erase all codes...Also make sure both battery cables are tight....

Jeep will not start if it is not run for a couple days. I have replaced the battery twice per the recommnedation of two different auto shops. Jump starting the jeep works. Could this be a bad...

Not if it runs normally after the jump. It sounds to me like you have a draw in the system. Those can be a major pain in the ***. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and take a test light to each fuse in the fuse block. Connect one end of the test light to the negative terminal of the battery, and probe the fuses, if the test light illuminates, you have found your draw. Look up that fuse to see which system it relates to, then start troubleshooting the components of that system. Often times it can be something as simple as a corroded ground. Let me know what you find and i'll be glad to assist you further.

2006 Liberty: My 2006 jeep liberty dies while driving and won't ...

Most common causes of that kind of problem are the fuel pump and the crank sensor. Crank sensor should set a code, pump won't. Less frequent but worth mentioning is the ignition switch. Do some testing using a haynes or chilton manual as a guide,. All you need for that is a digital multi-meter.
Before testing anything, check that all the ground points under the hood are clean and secure. there are more than just the battery to the block...check all the smaller ones as well.
