How do i fix a running light warning that has appeared on my dashboard?

You find the bulb that is not alight and replace it Claire. Best way is to check it at night with a second person or park in front of shop windows. Check front sidelights, daytime running lights, repeaters, headlights main and dipped, indicators left and right. Then turn the car around and check rear lights, left and right indicator and brake lights. Also pay attention to the high level brake light in the back window. I had that out for 6 months and it drove me mad trying to find out why my warning light was on. I checked all the lights three times with my late wife in the bedroom window and both of us in contact on home phone to cell phone. When I found out the reason, alerted by a friend, I so wanted my wife to know the reason why, but she had died 3 months previously.

1998 Lumina lights don't work at night! The lights work during the day but not at night. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Theres a sensor in the middle of the dash by the front windshield that detects sunlight and triggers the automatic headlights. The main headlights and daytime running lights might be on a different circuit, in which case they daytime running lamps would turn off at night and the main headlights would turn on, indicating the main headlights arent working and the daytime running lamps are working as intended.

I would check all the fuses related to headlights, check the bulbs and check the switch, then last the light sensor on the dash.

I have a 2003 Infiniti m45 and every time I turn the headlights on the dashboard lights gets dim what's the problem?

There is nothign wrong with your car-when you turn on the headlights the car believes you are turnung them on because it is dark outside, so it automatically dims your dashboard lights for you (since it now thinks it's nighttime). Your car already has daytime running lights, so you don't need to turn your headlights on in the daytime-they come on automatically when the car is running. You can keep your dash lights dim or bright by adjusting the small black dial on the left side of the dashboard, whether headlights are on or off if you want to.

Can anyone tell me what fues covers the daytime running lights on rthe 2006 Passat please?

There isn't a fuse for the Daytime Running Lights on your vehicle. However Relay #173 controls the lights, but it may require the removal of Relay #384 to be able to see it

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

LIghts shut off while driving and so did the dashboard lights, they will not come back on.

Seeing how I dont know if this is during the night or day, most berettas have daytime and automatic nighttime lights. The dashboard and the lights are connected together and if the sensor is saying that its daytime they are going to switch. I suggest checking your daytime running light sensor to see if it is getting to much saturation of light while driving at night. This could be confusing the computer and turning off the lights. Cant guarentee that this is fix it but its a good place to start.

Problems with dashboard lights

The switch that you are talking about... the dimmer switch, must not be working. If you have warranty left, i suggest you take it in. If not, maybe find a good auto wrecker, and replace the switch yourself. I'm guessing they'll be expensive.
