Hi I have change my starter 4 times in two weeks. Starter gets very hot and burn brushes. Citroen c5 v6 exclusive 2004 3lt.

Starters only get hot if they are prevented from being able to turn. That implies something is binding the engine. A leaking injector can fill a cylinder with fuel and burn out starters. But you would have to explore engine rotation by hand to discover possibilities? For example, it could be a problem with the clutch dragging all the time, and you could try shifting to neutral instead?

Starting problem

check your starter motor wiring first there should be a wire of aroung 5mm thickness bolted to the starter solenoid that is your power from battery the other is one small wire which clips on, this one tells it to"go" when you turn the key if either is loose it will work sumtimes, also check your battery connections are secure and motor to car earth(s) are secure
