Ford windstar 98

How would i know what coil he used and if its the proper one, i don't think this mechanic is willing to accept that there is any error with the coil. he has reset the computer, he is telling me that my computer may be malfunctioning, but if thats the case the car shouldn't hesitate like it is and did in the beginning am i right...And i had a tuneup done at teh same time, however i don't believe he changed the wire could this be doing it .. i thing i was screwed by this mechanic...

Ask for the receipt for the new coil from the mechanic showing he put a new one in. also it could be the computer malfunctioning and needs replacing,i had a cadillac that acted up and it was the computer that had to be changed out

My 98 ford windstar keeps dying while im driving.I know it is an electrical problem.A lot of people keep thinking its my fuel pump but i don't think it is .I drive my car only to local areas just as...

The fuel pump fuse blowing is an indication of the fuel pump wires may be shorted inside the tank.
If you drop the tank and remove the module, you may find the insulation burned off some of the pump wires.

Prob a good idea to take it in. If it is happening to your model, it may be a re occurring problem for that model and mechanics may have seen it before.

yes it can be a bad coil or improperly installed coil they do have a plus and minus for the coil

ignition coils come in different modes of power make sure by dealer the right mode of coil was used and installed

Can a 96 Ford Windstar Air Conditioner Compressor Pump Fit in a 98 Windstar?

The compressor is the same but it may have a different pulley and the plug may be indexed on the wrong side. If you have a set of snap ring pliers you can put your coil and pulley on that compressor or it may already be the same ones just make sure you put the plug where it is on your original compressor.
